Job Description
Test Automation Engineer
As a Test Automation Engineer at Fugro, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless functionality and performance of our web-based data processing pipelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and execute automated test scenarios, contributing to the delivery of a high-quality product.
What You Will Do
- Design and implement automated test scripts for web-based data applications.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and QA team members to understand application features and design effective test strategies.
- Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report on test status, contributing to the overall quality assurance process.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with development teams to facilitate resolution.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies at Fugro.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in test automation.
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer, Quality Engineer or related quality assurance roles, with a focus on building testing processes from scratch.
- Proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks, such as Playwright, Selenium, or similar.
- Strong programming skills in languages like C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with API testing and integration testing.
- Solid understanding of database concepts and SQL.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- At least Upper-Intermediate level of spoken and written English
Bonus Points
- Experience with performance testing tools
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with test automation.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and GitHub.
- Previous experience working with geospatial data.
