The Tax Manager position will support tax compliance requirements related to Federal Income, State Income, Indirect US Tax, Franchise, and local Latin America regulations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the preparation of US federal and state income tax returns as needed.
  • Supporting the preparation of Group year-end income tax provisions as needed.
  • Responsibility for the preparation of workpapers that support the timely filing of other US tax returns including property tax, business license, sales & use tax, unclaimed property, and gross receipts/excise.
  • Responsibility for the preparation of workpapers that support the regulatory compliance associated with USF tax (499A, 499Q, State USF and FCC ITSP filings).
  • Responsibility for the preparation of workpapers that support the filing of annual informative returns with the IRS (1099 and 1096 forms).
  • Maintenance of the fixed asset register in SAGE.
  • Responsibility for inputting purchase invoices related to tax payments or tax advisor fees into the ERP of the company for processing.
  • Responsibility for creating shipping codes for billing.
  • Support customer maintenance by keeping record of sales tax exemption certificates and adding them to the customer profile in Suretax.
  • Prepare workpapers and various schedules needed for the preparation of local transfer pricing documentation in Latin America.
  • Work with varying levels of personnel and management, both inside and outside the accounting and tax department; ensuring appropriate analysis of issues and concluding accounting and tax treatments.
  • Provide hands on support for ad hoc projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 1-3 years total related work experience.
  • Experience with tax filings and working in a tax accounting environment of a MNE.
  • Must be a team player who is detail-oriented, flexible and willing to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Good organizational, communication, analytical, problem-solving, leadership and customer service skills are required.
  • MS Office, Outlook, Word, Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.

Preferred Additional Experience:

  • Microsoft Navision.
  • SAGE.
  • OneSource Tax Provision and Income Tax Return software
  • Proficient speaking and writing in English.
  • Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple projects.
  • International tax experience
