What You'll Do
As a part of BCG's X Delivery team, you will play a pivotal role in bridging technology and strategy. You will collaborate with premier consulting teams around the world, applying your software development expertise across a variety of ambitious and ground-breaking international projects. You will be instrumental in advancing BCG's Consulting and BCG X teams by providing critical software development insights and speeding up project execution.
 
As a Software Engineer Senior Manager, you will be at the heart of action, from gathering initial requirements to designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions that address our client's unique challenges. With a deep understanding of the latest tools and processes, you'll craft high-quality, efficient tech solutions. Your projects will span the spectrum, from swiftly driven Proof of Concepts and Minimum Viable Products to managing long-term, enterprise-grade software developments that are integral to our project successes. Each project offers a unique opportunity to showcase your skills and make a significant impact within BCG and its esteemed clientele.

Job Requirements:
* *Background & Experience:* Extensive end-to-end development and engineering management experience, including building enterprise-scale projects and MVPs and leading teams of 20+ multi-functional resources.
* *Technical Expertise:* Hands-on coding experience in relevant technologies, with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and program management techniques.
* *Leadership & People Management:* Proven ability to lead and develop teams, manage people processes, and foster a positive culture in large-scale environments.
* *Organizational & Communication Skills:* Proactive, highly organized, with excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills, able to convey ideas clearly to team members at all levels.
* *Project Delivery:* Consistent track record of managing project deliveries with excellence in quality, cost, and operations.
* Fluent in Portuguese and English
*Technical Skills - Knowledge and Experience with:*
* *Programming Languages*: Strong coding skills and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Kotlin, and modern JavaScript frameworks, including React, Angular 2+, or Vue.js.
* *Cloud Computing:* Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.
* Proficient in CI/CD tools (CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
* Extensive experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MySQL) and functional knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Neo4j, Redis).
Additional Skills & Responsibilities (+): *Technical & Delivery Oversight:*
* Serve as a trusted advisor on software development and delivery for high-demand customers.
* Own technical envisioning, feasibility, budgeting, timelines, and execution of enterprise-grade applications.
* Collaborate with lead engineers and collaborators to design optimal solutions.
* Conduct design and code reviews, providing constructive feedback.
* Establish and meet short and long-term objectives, ensuring consistency.
* Build team capabilities through upskilling and training.
* Solve complex business problems with technical solutions.
* Set and maintain standard processes for development, integration, and testing.
* Balance guiding and execution; participate in coding as needed.
*People Management, Collaboration & Outreach:*
* Manage all facets of the employee lifecycle from recruitment to off-boarding.
* Provide continuous, constructive feedback and support to team members.
* Conduct learning needs assessments and facilitate upskilling aligned with team objectives.
* Foster a comfortable, confident work environment with a culture of open communication.
* Establish oneself as a technical expert and brand ambassador for software development.
* Communicate insights effectively through synthesis and packaging of results.
*Problem Solving & Mentoring:*
* Strong solutioning skills with hands-on experience in the full software development lifecycle.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capability to codify knowledge and provide technical advice.
* Coach developers and build future-ready engineering teams with the latest tools and technologies.
