Social Environmental Consultant (Entry Level)

ERM is looking for a motivated, hands-on Social & Environmental Consultant to join our Social Team in São Paulo/SP or Rio de Janeiro/RJ.

Working under the direction of program managers and partners, the successful candidate will work on exciting projects across the region, with increasing responsibility for task/project management functions. This is a great opportunity to work with ERM's technical experts to address resettlement projects, socio-economic diagnostics, engagement with stakeholders, social investment, social impact assessment and development of impact management programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparation and review of technical reports (Portuguese and English);
  • Organize information and analyze situations;
  • Support socio-economic study and diagnostic projects;
  • Maintain good relationships and communication with stakeholders;
  • Dynamically conduct several projects at the same time;
  • Ensure quality delivery;
  • Build good relationships with peers, staff, direct leadership and clients;
  • Conduct assessment of socioeconomic impacts;
  • Development of impact management programs;
  • Definition of private social investment strategies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor: Social Scientist, Geography and correlated;
  • Advance to Fluent English (speaking and writing) and Communication skills;
  • Experience in assessing socioeconomic impacts, developing impact management programs;
  • Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills;
  • Strong commitment to safety, including following established ERM Health and Safety protocols;
  • Ability to succeed in a consulting pace, handling multiple project assignments, and maintaining flexibility, while meeting strict deadlines;
  • Availability to business travel and valid driver’s license.
