Role Description

The Service Consultant is responsible for advising clients & contractors as well as staff about suitable travel options on their needs and policies, wants and capabilities. In addition, they help them plan trips to domestic or international destinations, accommodation, transport, insurance and fares. In addition to booking reservations, they should inform travellers of passport and visa requirements. Responsible for ensuring compliance with Immigration Requirements & Training and Documents of contractors as per Labour Legislation in all countries we operate and have expatriate & national personnel assigned to work.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Organise travels from beginning to end, including tickets, accommodation and transportation of our staff and contractors – both nationals and expats.
  • Supply travellers with pertinent information and useful travel materials & Policies.
  • Manage purchases of logistics in the ASW system and ensure all are rechargeable to clients.
  • Keep financial statements and documents related to logistics purchases.
  • Manage large-scale projects responsible for crew change planning & logistics.
  • Resolve travel issues, complaints, and refunds.
  • Provide advice regarding visas, immunisations, and travel safety.
  • Provide friendly service and build professional relationships with clients & contractors.
  • Responsible for managing relationships with contractors & end clients in all Projects where we allocate personnel related to Logistics, Documentation, and Immigration.
  • Research on visa/work permit processes in new locations.
  • Formulate and update Client Specific Logistics Procedures.
  • Responsible for all relocation services of our contractors & working internally with the relevant teams when it comes to lease contracts.
  • Logistics costs negotiations with end clients

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of domestic and foreign travel destinations and requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with suppliers (Hotels / Travel Agencies / Transportation companies, etc).
  • Great knowledge of crew change planning.
  • Fluent English Level.
  • Bachelor’s degree in tourism, hospitality or a relevant field.
  • Extensive experience in the travel industry and good geographical knowledge.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong telephone and email etiquette.
  • A personable matter and sharp attention to detail.
