Important Information Location: Brazil Job Mode: Full-time Work Mode: Work from home Job Summary The Engineering Operations team provides groups across the company the critical information and tools they need to do their jobs. We use observability to identify areas for optimization and service health through tooling and engagements. Our support of engineering teams helps them make informed decisions to perform incident analysis and assess customer impact. We manage critical infrastructure with curated sets of visualizations, self-serve tools, and responsive services. Our expertise is in helping teams with issue resolution and analysis for supporting our production systems and infrastructure, as well as providing our customers fast and accurate impact notifications and alerts for service health. Responsibilities and Duties Deliver, optimize and scale high throughput, production quality code using the latest stream processing technologies and agile techniques; Collaborate with stakeholders, leaders and architects to develop a technical vision and roadmap for your team and our platform; Partner with product management, design, research and other engineers on solutions that are empathetic to internal and external customer problems while being pragmatic about business value; Prototype and drive new feature development by partnering with internal users, customers, and other engineering teams; Work with a DevOps approach - we build and maintain our team's software, including taking turns being on-call, and tailoring our on-call alert policies to prevent pager-fatigue; Mentor engineers on the team and feel passionate about improving software by constant iteration with your team; Have a direct impact on our customer experiences, team processes and your peers. Essential Skills Software engineering experience. Proficiency with Ruby on Rails and experience developing and deploying services with Terraform; Experience working with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and streaming data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Kafka); Deep familiarity with modern Javascript (ES6+),TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SASS; Experience with cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) infrastructure and services. Additional Skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment leveraging Agile and DevOps methods and culture.
