Risk Management unit Brazil is seeking a talented Senior Consultant with a proven ability to tackle complex technical challenges, to join a fast-paced technical safety consultancy at the cutting edge of risk analysis techniques. This a great opportunity to be part of a motivated team that is a trusted voice to tackle global transformations and challenges, helping our customers in achieving the safety of their assets and operations.The Risk Management team in Brazil provide a wide range of advisory safety engineering and risk management services to the energy industry, for CAPEX and OPEX projects, in Brazil and other South American countries. The Process Safety Risk Senior Consultant is expected to liaise with and support several customers and stakeholders in the upstream, midstream, and downstream segments, including regulatory agencies and tackle energy transition topics, such as CCS, Hydrogen and ESG. The Process Safety Risk Senior Consultant reports to a Team Lead and has responsibility for technical delivery of projects with collaboration of other team members besides project management. The role includes customer interaction to find solutions to their challenges and discuss project schedule/ delivery. Responsibilities: Leader of Qualitative risk analysis: HAZOP, HAZID, BowTie, SIL/LOPA, experience in software related Understanding of Quantitative risk analysis: Ship Collision, Dropped Objects, Vulnerability (PHAST), QRA (SAFETI). Developmemt ability is desired. Support on Management system (PSM, internal audits, training, critical analysis – mainly in MoC, and Safety Critical Elements – ANP resolutions) Developing/implement Safety Case (based on IADC, HSE UK and Brazilian Experience/ANP) Application of knowledge related to Brazilian regulations (onshore and offshore) – ANP (very desirable), IBAMA, NORMAM and NRs DNV is an Equal Opportunity Employer and gives consideration for employment to qualified applicants without regard to gender, religion, race, national or ethnic origin, cultural background, social group, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, age or political opinion. Post-Graduation or related (desirable)At least 2 years of daily envolvement in process safety aspects, such as qualitative or quantitative studies, being able to explain activities, benefits and challenges.Experience/Participation in Qualitative studies. Leading studies is desirable.Familiar about Process Safety (PSM). Experience in Vulnerability Analysis (PHAST), QRA (SAFETI) will be considered a differential.Experience in upstream, downstream and midstreamAvailability to travel, including eventual services on board (offshore units)Experience in CFD is desirableDigitalization mindset (focus/interest)Besides Portuguese, fluent in EnglishSpanish (very desirable)Behavior: proactive, consultant , focused on solutions, multitask (proposals, projects, presentations):Excellent communication skills-including the ability to write clear and concise reports, both in Portuguese and EnglishProblem solving capacityCritical thinkingAbility to pick up technical concepts quicklyAbility to completely undertake technical and no-technical (adm/finance matters) activities with limited supervisionAbility to speak with a wide variety of clients for the purpose of communicating DNV services and capabilitiesability to focusAttention to detailSelf-motivatedInitiative independent of direct instructionAbility to work on a team effectively and efficiently, but also be able to show effectiveness when working individuallyAbility to handle fast pace, high demand environments with stress management skillsActively seeks opportunities to help team members with demanding project schedules and expectationsAbility to work within tight deadlineAbility to coach junior staff
