Risk Management unit Brazil is seeking a talented Consultant with a proven ability to tackle complex technical challenges, to join a fast-paced technical safety consultancy at the cutting edge of risk analysis techniques. This a great opportunity to be part of a motivated team that is a trusted voice to tackle global transformations and challenges, helping our customers in achieving the safety of their assets and operations.The Risk Management team in Brazil provide a wide range of advisory safety engineering and risk management services to the energy industry, for CAPEX and OPEX projects, in Brazil and globally. The Safety Risk Consultant is expected to liaise with and support several customers and stakeholders in the upstream, midstream, and downstream segments, including regulatory agencies. The Safety Risk Consultant reports to a Team Lead and has responsibility for project management and technical delivery of projects under the guidance of more senior members of the team. The role includes customer interaction to discuss project schedule/ delivery, technical issues and solutions. Responsibilities: Leader/Scribe of Qualitative risk analysis: HAZOP, HAZID, BowTie, SIL/LOPA, experience in software related Understanding of Quantitative risk analysis: Ship Collision, Dropped Objects, Vulnerability (PHAST), QRA (SAFETI). Developmemt ability is desired. Support on Management system (PSM, internal audits, training, critical analysis – mainly in MoC, and Safety Critical Elements – ANP resolutions) Developing/implement Safety Case (based on IADC, HSE UK and Brazilian Experience/ANP) Application of knowledge related to Brazilian regulations (onshore and offshore) – ANP (very desirable), IBAMA, NORMAM and NRs DNV is an Equal Opportunity Employer and gives consideration for employment to qualified applicants without regard to gender, religion, race, national or ethnic origin, cultural background, social group, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, age or political opinion. Post-Graduation or related (desirable) Familiar about Process Safety (PSM) and Qualitative Risk Analysis: (such as HAZOP, HAZID, etc). Experience in Vulnerability Analysis (PHAST), QRA (SAFETI) will be considered a differential. Familiar with related to Brazilian regulations (onshore and offshore) - Petrobras Safety Guidelines, ANP Experience in upstream Availability to travel, including eventual services on board (offshore units) Digitalization mindset (focus/interest) Besides Portuguese, fluent in English Spanish (very desirable) Behavior: proactive, consultant , focused on solutions, multitask (proposals, projects, presentations): Excellent communication skills-including the ability to write clear and concise reports, both in Portuguese and English Problem solving capacity Critical thinking Ability to pick up technical concepts quickly Ability to completely undertake technical and no-technical (adm/finance matters) activities with limited supervision Ability to speak with a wide variety of clients for the purpose of communicating DNV services and capabilities ability to focus Attention to detail Self-motivated Initiative independent of direct instruction Ability to work on a team effectively and efficiently, but also be able to show effectiveness when working individually Ability to handle fast pace, high demand environments with stress management skills Actively seeks opportunities to help team members with demanding project schedules and expectations Ability to work within tight deadline
