As a Portfolio Manager, you’ll go above and beyond to provide solutions to meet our customer needs. You’ll need to think ahead, developing a yearly plan and thinking tactically. Alongside you’ll participate in exciting discussions about our future, collaborating with colleagues across the business to plan strategically.
As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Accountable for the functional, business, and financial performance of the product(s).
- Serves as the product's advocate both internally and externally.
- Conducts product demonstrations, presentations, and training for stakeholders, customers, and partners to showcase the product's value proposition and benefits.
- Develops a product strategy and vision based on market research, customer feedback, and product line goals.
- Works across the organization to validate the S&OP forecast and identify products for special supply chain strategies.
- Works with supply chain organization to identify opportunities for cost reduction and cost optimization.
- Conducts thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product innovation.
- Defines the product roadmap and prioritizes features and enhancements accordingly.
- Owns the PDM (Product Development Management) process for product management. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Engineering & Technology, supply chain, Service delivery, and others, to achieve successful development.
- Participates in Stage Gates with the technology team and provides documentation as required for gate meetings.
- Stays up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to products.
- Aligns and leverages total supplier base to influence product line and market strategy.
- Plans and executes successful product launches, including defining pricing strategies, positioning the product in the market, and developing marketing and communication plans.
- Ensures technology advancements are validated with customers and regulatory agencies.
- Responsible for the product life cycle and product performance of the product. Monitors NPR/NPI performance.
- Leads initiatives that combine product development and process improvement activities.
- Provides technical support to Service Delivery teams for specific escalation requests.
- Responsible for leading initiatives and associated technologies to drive carbon footprint reduction.
- Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes Health Safety and Environmental policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values.
- Other activities as assigned by manager and leadership.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Bachelor's Degree within appropriate Engineering/Science discipline or Bachelor's Degree.
- Ability with cross-functional Project Leadership experience or equivalent.
- Experience in sales, operations, technology or technical support.
- Knowledge of market research and competitive analysis.
- Business acumen and understanding of market dynamics.
- Advanced level of English.
- Travel Required (>25%).
