The programme lasts for 2 years and includes rotations of 3-12 months across functions and business areas.

The position

By joining our team in Subsurface: Reservoir & Production Technology (Petec), you will have the opportunity to join our dynamic Subsurface team, engaging in independent and collaborative work focused on geology. This role offers exposure to a range of projects, from mature fields (Peregrino and Roncador) to field development phases (Bacalhau and Raia). You will work across disciplines and with various internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and optimized oil production.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze and interpret geological data to support field development, production optimization, and reservoir management.
  • Provide geological inputs for reservoir characterization.
  • Support geomodeling activities.
  • Perform target identification, well planning, and optimizations of development wells.
  • Follow up on drilling operations and provide geological support to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Monitor data acquisition and perform quality control.
  • Participate in cross-organizational and cross-discipline tasks.
  • Communicate facts, practices, and policies to peers and key internal and external stakeholders.

You

For this position, we are looking for those with:

  • Bachelor’s, master’s degree, or PhD with a good academic record within Geology or Geological Engineering.
  • Completed degree by the year of starting (2025).
  • No more than two years of relevant full-time work experience.
  • Formal experience is not a requirement.
  • Advanced in English.
  • Extracurricular activities and/or voluntary work is an advantage.
  • Eligibility to have CREA by August 2025.
