Job Description

As a graduate at Equinor, you’ll be joining 21,000 colleagues delivering oil, gas, wind, and solar power to 170 million people worldwide. The programme lasts for 2-years and includes rotations of 3-12 months across functions, business areas or locations.

The position

Safety is our first priority and working in Safety and Sustainability means being part of a highly skilled and professional global network at Equinor. You will have the opportunity to engage in improvement initiatives, promote functional excellence, and ensure compliance with climate, environment, and sustainability standards.As part of our team, you will work alongside our sustainability team, working mainly with environment, climate, human rights and social performance to help drive the future development of our discipline, supporting the Equinor energy transition plans. These positions are based in Brazil but will also include collaboration with our international climate and sustainability discipline in our competence centre.

When joining our team in Safety, Security and Sustainability you will have the opportunity to work with:

  • Collaborating with the health and working environment function to enhance employee well-being.
  • Contributing to emergency preparedness and crisis management.
  • Working on governance, assurance, and risk management activities.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of safety and sustainability strategies.
  • Conducting inspections and audits.
  • Analysing data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Participating in the development and delivery of training programs.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive safety and sustainability initiatives.
  • Contributing to the low-carbon transition and renewable energy projects.
  • Networking with professionals across various disciplines to broaden knowledge and expertise.
  • The positions may be engineering positions or non-engineering positions based on organizational needs and candidate backgrounds. Compensation is aligned with our global rewards.

  • Bachelor, Master’s or PhD degree with good academic record within Biology, Chemistry, Social Sciences, Oceanography, International Relations, Environmental and Sanitary Engineering, Production Engineering and Social Communication.​​
  • Completed degree by the year of starting (2024).
  • No more than two years of relevant fulltime work experience.
  • Formal experience is not a requirement.
  • Advanced in English.
  • Extracurricular activities and/or voluntary work is an advantage.
