What you will do

1. Deliver quality software with end-to-end ownership, from initial requirements reviews and architecture to development and testing.
2. Understand, comply with, and enforce development standards to ensure consistency across the larger development team.
3. Ensure quality through solid test coverage for your code and by conducting thorough code reviews.
4. Collaborate with the team to ensure specifications are met.
5. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them to operations and activities.

Must haves

1. Above all, a good attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well in a team.
2. Aptitude for analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
3. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
4. Well-versed in modern architecture and software design.
5. Object-oriented programming knowledge.
6. Proficiency with languages such as Java, Python, SQL.
7. Experience with the design and implementation of APIs and Microservices.
8. Comfortable with large datasets, relational vs. non-relational databases, and SQL Server.
9. Proficient and experienced with Git.
10. Experience working with platforms that expose APIs and extension points for 3rd-party developers.

Nice to haves

1. Experience with e-commerce and/or retail technology products.
2. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree.
