Cargo Supervisor – Rio de Janeiro

Mission:

• In charge of maintenance of deck and cargo associated equipment, including structure.
• Loading and offloading program under OTS supervision.
• In charge of order request and follow up for deck and cargo system.
• In charge of inspection and maintenance reports for all deck and cargo systems.
• Supervision of cargo team (pumpmen).
• Cargo system routine maintenance preparation and follow up.
• Cargo transfer and handling procedure and follow up.

Competency:

• Knowledge of class and international and rules applicable to F(P)SO.
• Operational control of trim, stability and stress, including in case of structural damage.
• Operational handling of cargo (Inert gas system, venting system, cargo pump…).
• Knowledge of F(P)SO construction, inspection and reporting of structural defects.
• Monitor and control safe practices.
• Knowledge of interrelationship between marine operation and specific production activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years of higher education.
• Minimum experience required 5 + years.
• Oil tanker training program qualification (STCW A-V 1-1-2).
• Basic safety training.
• Advanced firefighting training.
• Survival craft training.
• First aid training.
• Be capable of communicating proficiently in written and spoken English and Portuguese.
