Are you passionate about trucks and the automotive industry? Who are you: - Bachelor or Master in Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical or Embedded System engineering - 3+ years of experience in the automotive industry, and Control System Development - Holder of a EU/Portuguese passport (is a big plus) - English speaking and have the willingness to learn Dutch - Experience with supplier management - Project lead experience is a big plus - Experience with design for Six Sigma methodology, Functional Safety (ISO26262), embedded system design processes (according to the V-cycle) - Team player, pro-active, strong analytical skills, problem-solving attitude - Looking for a junior - medior position - Willing to relocate to the Netherlands About the role: You will be part of an experienced international team of the Platform Development group of Embedded Engineering that is located in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Embedded Engineering has over 160 highly skilled people today. Together they deliver world-class engineering in the domains of engine controllers and vehicle controllers. The products developed within Embedded Engineering are applied on our clients trucks. Within the Embedded Engineering department, part of Product Development, we are looking for a talented Embedded System Owner. In this role you will play a key part in leading the hardware and software development of Electric Drive Controllers as part of innovative electric powertrains. This Electric Drive Controller shall control the electric engines and gearbox of future Battery Electric Vehicles. Your responsibilities: • Coordinating hardware & software development activities for your Embedded System • Initiate and define risk analysis and validation plans for both hardware and software components • Create, monitor and report platform project plans for software and hardware development activities • Supplier management • Monitoring if technical definitions are in line with defined strategies and report discrepancies • Presenting and reporting project status for Quality, Cost, Timing and Performance (QCTP) • Organizing and participating in supplier & internal project meetings The Embedded System Owner reports to the Engineering Supervisor EE System Engineering with respect to process, quality and to the corresponding Project Lead Engineer for project status. As Xelvin we hire candidates for a specific position for a set amount of time, after which a permanent contract with our client is granted and the candidates automatically transfers. What do we offer? Contract wise: · 2-year contract of 40 hours per week. · 25 paid holidays a year (+ potential ADV days) · Public holidays, with a maximum of 7 per year, which are paid by Xelvin. · Holiday allowance of 8.33% (instead of 8,0%) over your total gross annual income. Paid each year in May. · Overtime and shift allowance will be paid by Xelvin accordingly. · Travel allowance of €0,23 per km, for the use of travelling to work and back home. ·The salary will be in the range of €3500 - €3909 gross a month Onboarding & benefits · Your 1st house in the Netherlands will be arranged by Xelvin, with the help of our Housing Consultant. In case of having to pay the 1st months rent or potential deposit, Xelvin is willing to pay it for you upfront, after which we’ll set up a loan agreement, for you to pay us back in terms. · Xelvin is certified to do VISA applications for you and your family, and get your work permit in order so you can travel and start working. · A relocation assistance allowance of €1000-3000 NET will be paid to you, to assist with the cost of relocating to the Netherlands. · You (and your family/partner) will be picked up at the airport or train station by your consultant/ recruiter after your arrival, and will be taken to your new house. · Onboarding: we’ll advise you on how to set up a Dutch bank account, apply for health insurance, getting a Dutch BSN number, writing in with a dentist and general practitioner and other useful or necessary cases to arrange. · New Hire Dinner organized for all newly recruited engineers to make them aware of our Dutch tax system and explaining the Dutch payslip. · A few social gatherings with all Xelvin employees and recruited engineers; o New Years drink at the local PSV stadium, where you’ll get a tour of the building and beverages and bites are served. o Summer BBQ at the Evoluon, where you can grow your social circle and dance to some nice music while enjoying the food.
