We are actively looking for a Civil Engineer to join our Rio de Janeiro office. As part of the Civil Group, the Civil Engineer assists with the planning, design, and plan production for general civil engineering on a wide variety of projects which may include site civil design, rough & precise grading, dredging, drainage design, utility design (sewer, water, & storm drain).

Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in the completion of construction projects by preparing engineering design and documents and confirming specifications.
- Assist in the design of construction projects by studying project concept, architectural drawings, and models.
- Assist in preparation of engineering designs by collecting and studying reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs, and tests on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and related topographical and geologic data.
- Assist in determining project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs.
- Assist in the creation of feasibility studies by analyzing engineering design, conducting environmental impact studies, and assembling data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
- 0-2 years of experience as a civil engineer, preferably with experience in site layout, stormwater, erosion control, utilities, and other infrastructure systems.
- AutoCAD exposure.
- Preferred software experience
- MicroStation
- Civil3D
- SWMM
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
- Availability and willingness to travel.
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171.
Physical requirements:
Sedentary for prolonged period of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
