Through its various software solutions, we enable growers to better understand what the performance of their fields & equipment are and in particular giving them actionable insights to improve the way they utilize their resources to grow more with less. We’re looking for a superstar that will lead our technical support! The Field Service & Training Technician is responsible for supporting dealers, customers, and Valley sales & support staff in regards to questions about installation, troubleshooting and app/website navigation for the entire Prospera technology hard- & software portfolio Irrigation & Plant Insights e Scheduling) old to new and existing customers. This involves consistent customer support and interaction, as well as travel to customer sites to diagnose issues and provide training for ongoing maintenance and resolution of technical issues. Description of Duties: HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE TECH SUPPORT: Responsible for dealer and end user customer technical support from office and in field as necessary Includes answering questions from customers regarding equipment installation, service, trouble shooting, website, and App navigation. Answer incoming tech calls via phone, email, and Live Chat. Determine the nature of the call and determine the best path to resolution; either resolve the problem or escalate to Field Service Engineer in US HQ Program modems and keep and maintain database of devices Assist customer inquiries about products and services during high call volume Prepares product and/or service reports by collecting and analyzing call data Work and aling with Prospera Businesse Developer Manager DEALER TRAINING AND INSTALLATIONS: Will plan, organize and provide in field and classroom training to dealer service technicians, Valley Territory Manager’s and Service staff for install and troubleshooting of Valley/Prospera technical equipment and software In alignment with Businesse Developer Manager organization of training schedule to prioritized dealers Gather, adapt and develop relevant training materials Support the development and implementation of new product/software rollout plans with required user training In Field Dealer/Grower visits and installations as necessary OTHERS: Some travel out of office for training, dealer and grower meetings, interactions with Valley service and support, and in field tech support calls as necessary. Estimated 50% travel within region. Work closely with engineering, sales, and customer service staff to ensure prompt and effective resolution of technical issues as they arise Assist sales staff on occasion with trade shows, grower meetings, and dealer visits Assist Valley marketing with development of technical documents including install manuals, trouble shooting guides, and ‘quick tip’ videos Salary plus bonus based on company performance and benefits Basic Qualifications: An Associates Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Automation Engineer or Electrical Engineer Two or more years technical experience in agricultural industry, preferably within the irrigation and/or Precision Ag segments. Strong working knowledge of Google and/or Microsoft Office Suite Ability to clearly and concisely present information to Company management, dealers, and customers Able to work effectively with team of peers and superiors Ability to fluently speak English (Portuguese mother tongue) Additional Qualifications: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have strong technical understanding of electronics and hydraulics. Must be comfortable and willing to speak in front of groups. Must have the ability and personality to calmly deal with and de-escalate tense situations in the field and on the phone Must see things & interventions through to completion Professional in appearance and demeanor Agricultural background Self- starter, able to plan and work independently.
