Requisitos:
Macher Tecnologia is recruiting one hands-on Software Engineering Manager to support one of its clients developing software technologies for the transportation industry.
As the work will be performed globally, English (business / fluent) is a must-have.
The selected professional will join us at our Rio de Janeiro office, on a remote setting. Only candidates from this location, POA or Caxias do Sul will be considered.
As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead and inspire the team of backend and frontend
engineers, architects, and DevOps specialists working on our user-facing Mobile Video
applications for Transit. Your role is critical in driving technical excellence, fostering collaboration, and ensuring successful product delivery.
Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership:
Lead a team of engineers, set clear goals, provide mentorship, and
foster a positive work environment.
• Technical Strategy:
Define and communicate the technical vision and roadmap for the
teamfine and communicate the technical vision and roadmap for the team.
• Project Delivery:
Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery. Ensure timely and
high-quality releases.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with product managers, customer success
teams and stakeholders.
• Talent Development:
Identify skill gaps and provide training opportunities. Encourage
continuous learning and growth.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: 10+ years of software development experience, including leadership roles.
• Experience on complex projects involving hardware and software
Skills:
Proficiency in:
• Software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.)
• Team management and performance evaluation.
• Full stack technical decision-making, build vs buy decisions.
Experience with:
• Object oriented programming languages: Go, C#
• Relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) database technologies
• Transport protocols such as SFTP, HTTPS and networking technologies.
• Web technologies, such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML5
• Experience in cloud environments, event driven microservices architectures including Docker, Kubernetes
• Implementing DevOps tools and pracJces
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with:
• Hiring and scaling engineering teams from scratch
• Building IoT applications, Video management and streaming systems and/or products for transportation industry
• Building and scaling AI/ML applications for B2B market
