About This Role
Maro is seeking an exceptional Senior Front-End Engineer with a strong track record of creating impactful user experiences across web browsers and mobile devices. As we strive to influence and enhance user behavior, we are focused on developing highly interactive and tactile experiences, beginning with a browser extension. If you have a proven history of building browser extensions and mobile apps for top-tier consumer brands, we want you to join our team.
In this pivotal role, you will lead the frontend development of our browser extensions and mobile applications, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and seamless user experiences across multiple platforms.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design and development of frontend architectures for our browser extension projects, ensuring robust, efficient, and user-friendly experiences.
- Utilize React to build and maintain extensions that perform seamlessly across various browsers.
- Implement and optimize browser-specific APIs to enhance the capabilities and performance of our extensions.
- Oversee the development of mobile app interfaces, ensuring a consistent and high-quality user experience across all platforms.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate complex design concepts into functional, high-quality interfaces for browser extensions, mobile apps, and web applications.
- Leverage your expertise in mobile development (iOS/Android) and browser extensions development to build cohesive, multi-platform solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing your knowledge in browser extension and mobile app development.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in frontend development, including responsive design, code quality, and maintainability.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in frontend technologies, browser extensions, and mobile app development.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a design system and UI component library tailored for browser extensions, mobile, and web applications.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to ensure seamless integration between frontend components and backend services.
- Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to high coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to browser extensions, mobile apps, and web applications, optimizing performance and addressing bugs or usability concerns.
Who You Are
- Significant experience with browser extensions for major consumer brands with a strong portfolio highlighting your contributions.
- Proficiency in modern frontend technologies and frameworks, including React.
- Deep understanding of browser extension APIs and cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Experience with mobile development (iOS/Android).
- Experience with web application development.
- Solid experience with build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex issues related to browser extensions, mobile apps, and web applications.
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with designers, backend engineers, and product managers.
- Familiarity with Git and experience with CI/CD practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving requirements.
- Passionate about delivering top-notch user experiences and staying informed about the latest advancements in frontend, mobile, and web technologies.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience mentoring junior team members.
